How about October Sky? I feel like it's relevant, though I don't think anyone is actually called gifted in it.

I don't remember the name of the B. Potter movie, but I really enjoyed watching it - she was quite a person!

Which reminds me, 'The Incredibles' although about 'superheros' have Gifted subplots about being allowed to strech one's legs and use one's giftes. I love how it illustrates what happens to superhero who 'mask' their gifts!

Xmen movies also have this theme, but less optimistically, i think!
