I work 3 full days/week and have had to put DS6 in an afterschool program at his school that is.. well, bad. I really don't want to have to ask someone to pick him up and schlep him to another place after school, so I've been thinking of alternatives. According to the principal of the PS, kids aren't allowed to participate in the school-run extracurriculars until 5th grade. confused

Has anyone had any success in starting enrichment/GT type afterschool programs at their PS? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

There is a thread here on Math clubs. Contained within another thread is some info on starting a chess club but I can't recall which thread it's in.
