I wanted to go back and edit some old posts(TMI)and found the edit doesn't show up all the time. Even for some posts I made today, some have the edit key available, some don't.

Anyone know the answer?

OK, my test didn't give an answer.

OK, I'm just testing to see if once a post is quoted that it can no longer be edited.

eta: nope, edit key still available for the original post.

I assumed it was a limited time feature, but if you have earlier posts that ARE accessible and later ones that aren't....well that blows that assumption! If you really want something changed/deleted though, just PM Mark or click the "notify" button below on your own post, and ask him to make the changes. He's very helpful and timely!

(P.S...from my own posts today, it looks like the edit option expires sometime between 2.5 and 6.5 hours.)

OK, it looks like a time issue, thanks.
