Sorry if it's been covered here before. Just wanted to pass on:

http://www.visiblebody.com/

DS is very (VERY) interested in human anatomy so I was looking for resources and found this. It is free (I was surprised actually). Web based and pretty thorough. Just requires an ActiveX control.

Looks like we're about to loose power so I'm going to send this off before I loose my work!

I have to say, I've been pretty impressed with it so far. And I know it'll keep DS occupied for hours. It covers a topic he really likes (anatomy) and it's teaching him some finer motor skills with the mouse.

On a similar note, Discovery has a new (at least to us!) series named Body in Numbers

http://health.discovery.com/tv/body-in-numbers/body-in-numbers.html

Could not ask for a more perfect match for our DS. DVR'ed it. It's not as deep as PBS shows, but it is very interesting.

Loc: here! Where else? (Duh!)
I saw the ad for that and thought of your son, JBD! I meant to PM you about it and forgot, so I'm glad you found it without me. smile

It's pretty neat. For example, to illustrate the amount of bone regrowth that you'll do in your lifetime, they show 12 skeletons. Or for the amount of sweat that you make they'll show a certain number of buckets. Good way to really drive home the quantitative math and... of course... it's biology! smile our fav subject!!

Hey JB,

You've been dropping some awesome resources. Little C loves, loves, loves this stuff. I had just bought her a CD from the local science museum on human anatomy.
