MIT has upped its financial aid as well: MIT News Office link. I'm surprised by this one, not surprised that it is not as extensive. Still, perhaps useful information to someone around.

Kriston, not so much!

DD8 is only ten years away if she goes on time.
DH and I just celebrated our 10 year anniversary in October.
We were commenting on how fast 10 years went by.
I'm sure the next 10 will be even faster!!!!!

Do you HAVE to burst my safe little bubble of GT denial, 'Neato?

That's just out of meanness, isn't it?

:p

Oh, don't I know it. I cried when DS10 turned 6 because it was 1/3 over!!! My friends thought I was crazy but now he is 10 and in only 8 years (less time than I've had him - yikes) he will be off to college. I'm digging my heels in but my kids just keep getting bigger and bigger. <sigh>

You all are forgetting, there is something BETTER than children.

GRANDchildren!!!!! hehehehe, why do you think they call them 'GRANDchildren'?

I think the ultimate pleasure we can take in our children's achievement is to see them as independent, successful adults. Just be sure to cherish each stage in the journey.

((waving wildly)) I couldn't agree more. My mother, DS2's grandmother, is over the moon for DS. The two of them spend a couple of hours together each day talking about what they've done, having a snack, and a general love fest.

OHG I've never appreciated my mother more. Watching her with my son has been an eye opening experience. smile

OHG- I like the way you think!

Krison, come on now!!! You know I'm not a K hater!!!

Remeber, though, I'm a GS leader. My motto: Always be prepared!
Yes, I stole that from the boy scouts, imitation, the most sincere flattery!!!!

LOL!

Still, 'Neato, you know how deeply in denial I am. Preparations that make me confront that denial...not nice!

I think I'd rather be surprised: "What? College? Already? No! Well, okay, I guess I should do some research tonight then..."

grin <3

(That's mooning, not love!)
